Also make sure you connect the “ground” wire to the “grounding” terminal of the motor. Note that this must be the power supply ground conductor, not a wire leading to a ground rod nearby.

Gain has no units as its a ratio, but in Electronics it is commonly given the symbol “A”, for Amplification. Then the gain of an amplifier is simply calculated as the “output signal divided by the input signal”.

The ground is a circuit node to which all voltages in a circuit are referenced. In a constant voltage supply circuit, one terminal from each voltage supply is typically connected to ground, or is grounded. For example, the negative terminal of a positive power supply is usually connected to ground so that any current drawn out of the positive terminal can be put back into the negative terminal via ground.

Sometimes, to make schematics more legible, we’ll give a net a name and label it, rather than routing a wire all over the schematic. Nets with the same name are assumed to be connected, even though there isn’t a visible wire connecting them. Names can either be written directly on top of the net, or they can be “tags”, hanging off the wire.

Instead, many small leads are soldered directly to the board, meaning that the board itself is used as a wiring surface for the different components. This allows circuits to be completed using less space, freeing up space to allow the board to complete more functions, usually at higher speeds and a lighter weight than a through-hole board would allow.

The same current would flow through all the components while the voltage would differ from one component to another. For example you have lit three lamps in series to the same power source, the first one would receive more voltage than the last.

By Sasha Sara. Motor. Published at Wednesday, December 20th 2017, 11:19:57 AM. The power output decreases with speed because of the constant-torque loss due to detent torque and other losses. The same effect causes a slight decrease in torque with speed in the constant torque region as well. Finally, there is a rounding of the torque curve at the corner speed because the drive gradually transitions from being a current source to being a voltage source. The drive limits current to the motor below the corner speed and thus is a current source. Above the corner speed, the motor’s inductive reactance limits the current and the drive becomes a voltage source as it applies all of the power supply voltage to the motor.
